Our team will pick you up from Srinagar Airport. Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive to Aru Valley, a quaint village near Pahalgam. Overnight in a mountain guesthouse or riverside camp.
The trek begins! Walk through pine forests and along the Lidder River to reach the vast meadows of Lidderwat. This is a gentle and beautiful start to your adventure.
Ascend into the higher alpine region. Today’s trail passes through nomadic Gujjar settlements and opens into the massive Shekwas meadows, offering panoramic mountain views.
A short trek brings you to the crown jewel: Tarsar Lake. Camp by the shores of this turquoise alpine lake. Witness the lake change colors from turquoise to royal blue as the sun moves.
Cross the Tarsar Pass and descend into the Sundarsar valley. This part of the trek is incredibly photogenic, with wildflowers blooming all around the smaller Sundarsar lake.
Trek to a ridge that overlooks the elusive Marsar Lake, often hidden in a shroud of clouds. After soaking in the views, begin your descent towards the camp at Homwas.
The final descent back to Aru Valley. Bid farewell to the mountains and drive back to Srinagar for your flight home or an evening on a traditional Houseboat.
The Alpine Wonderland: Kashmir Great Lakes

The Kashmir Great Lakes (KGL) trek is widely regarded as India's most beautiful trek. Over 8 days, you will cross high-altitude passes and witness seven unique alpine lakes, each reflecting the snow-capped Himalayan peaks in their crystal-clear waters.
Drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (The Meadow of Gold). Spend the evening exploring the Sindh riverbanks and preparing for the trek ahead.
The trek starts with a climb through dense forests of maple and birch. Reach the Nichnai campsite, a high-altitude meadow nestled between towering peaks.
Cross the Nichnai Pass (13,500 ft). As you descend, the magnificent Vishansar Lake comes into view—a vast sheet of blue surrounded by jagged mountains.
A challenging climb to Gadsar Pass. From the top, you can see both Vishansar and Kishansar lakes together. Descend into the flower-filled Gadsar valley.
Trek through a rugged landscape of boulders and streams to reach Satsar—a collection of seven small interconnected lakes in a high-altitude plateau.
Cross the final pass of the trek. You'll be rewarded with a view of the twin lakes Gangabal and Nandkol, sitting at the base of the mighty Mt. Harmukh.
A well-deserved rest day. Explore the shores of Gangabal, try trout fishing, or simply meditate by the reflections of Mt. Harmukh.
A long descent through pine forests to the ancient stone ruins of Naranag. From here, we drive you back to Srinagar, concluding a legendary journey.
